The exact scope of each project will be agreed before work begins.
5. Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on this website are starting prices unless stated otherwise.
Final prices may depend on the size, complexity and requirements of the project, including the number of stems, length of track, editing required, arrangement needs, revision requirements and delivery timescale.
A written quote or agreed price will be provided before paid work begins.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
6. Booking and payment
A project is only confirmed once Threadline Audio has accepted the booking and any required payment or deposit has been received.
Payment terms will be agreed before the project begins.
Threadline Audio may require:
Full payment upfront
A deposit before work begins
Staged payments for larger projects
Final payment before delivery of final files
Bank Transfer / PayPal
Late or unpaid invoices may delay delivery of work.
7. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing the materials needed to complete the project.
This may include:
Audio stems or multitracks
Rough mixes
Lyrics
Tempo/BPM information
Reference tracks
Notes about the desired sound or direction
Any deadlines or release dates
Any technical requirements
Files should be clearly labelled where possible.
You confirm that you have the right to use and provide any audio, lyrics, recordings, samples, reference materials or other content sent to Threadline Audio.
8. Creative materials and rights
You retain ownership of your original songs, recordings, lyrics, demos and creative materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Threadline Audio will not claim ownership of your original song or recordings simply because we have provided mixing, mastering, session playing, arrangement or production services.
Where Threadline Audio creates original music, compositions, arrangements, instrumental parts or other creative contributions, ownership and usage rights should be agreed before the project begins.
For example, you may choose one of the following approaches:
Client receives permission to use the finished work for the agreed project, while Threadline Audio retains ownership of original composition elements
Client purchases full rights to the finished composition
Rights and royalties are split by written agreement
Session parts are provided as a paid work-for-hire style contribution, where legally appropriate
Any royalty splits, publishing shares, buyouts or ownership transfers must be agreed in writing.
9. Samples, loops and third-party material
If you provide samples, loops, beats, backing tracks, vocals, stems or other third-party material, you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to use them.
Threadline Audio is not responsible for copyright claims, licensing issues or disputes relating to material supplied by the client.
If Threadline Audio uses any third-party samples, loops or sound libraries as part of a project, this will be done using materials we reasonably believe we are licensed to use.
10. Revisions
Unless otherwise agreed, each project includes:
Reasonable revisions.
A revision means reasonable changes to the agreed work, such as balance adjustments, small mix changes, level tweaks or minor arrangement changes.
Major changes may require an additional fee. This may include:
Changing the project brief after work has started
Adding new parts or stems after mixing has begun
Reworking the arrangement
Replacing major audio elements
Requesting substantial changes beyond the agreed scope
Asking for further revisions after the included revision rounds have been used
Additional revision fees will be agreed before extra work is carried out.
11. Turnaround times
Estimated turnaround times will be discussed before the project begins.
Turnaround times depend on project size, current availability, client response times and whether all required files have been provided.
Threadline Audio will aim to meet agreed deadlines, but delivery may be delayed if files are missing, unclear, incorrect, changed during the project or if feedback is delayed.
12. File delivery
Final files will be delivered digitally.
This may include formats such as:
WAV / MP3 / instrumental / stems
Unless otherwise agreed, project files, DAW sessions or internal working files are not included as part of the final delivery.
13. Project file storage
Threadline Audio may keep project files for a limited period after completion in case further edits or exports are needed.
Files are normally kept for up to:
6 months after project completion
After this period, project files may be deleted from active storage.
Clients are responsible for safely storing their own final files after delivery.
14. Cancellation
If you cancel a project before work has started, any refund will depend on the payment arrangement agreed at the time of booking.
If you cancel after work has started, Threadline Audio may retain payment for work already completed or time already allocated.
Deposits may be non-refundable where time has been reserved or work has begun.
15. Refunds
Because audio and music services involve custom creative work, refunds are not normally available once work has been completed and delivered, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
If there is an issue with the work, please contact Threadline Audio so we can discuss reasonable revisions or corrections.
Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
16. Portfolio and promotional use
Threadline Audio will not publicly share, publish or use your unreleased music, stems, lyrics or project materials for promotional purposes without your permission.
We may ask for permission to use short excerpts, finished tracks, testimonials, screenshots or project descriptions in a portfolio, website or social media post.
You are free to decline.
17. Testimonials
If you provide a testimonial, review or feedback, Threadline Audio may ask for permission to use it on the website, social media or promotional materials.
We will not publish private feedback as a testimonial without permission.
18. Liability
Threadline Audio will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
However, we cannot guarantee any specific commercial result, streaming performance, playlist placement, radio play, label interest, audience response or income from your music.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Threadline Audio will not be liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, reputational damage or issues caused by client-supplied materials, third-party platforms or factors outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
